A photo booth used to be one thing — a curtain, a flash, a strip of four photos. Now there are three distinct categories and they behave very differently at an event. We run all three at Metropolitan DJ, and the right one depends on the guest count, the venue layout, and the kind of energy you want around the booth. Read more about our Photo Booth Rentals.
Mirror Photo Booth
Full-length interactive mirror. Walks guests through an animated prompt sequence, prints on the spot, and texts a digital copy. The best fit for weddings because it draws a queue of small groups — bridesmaids, families, friend circles. Works in most reception rooms; needs a 6x6 footprint and a clear sightline.
Halo Photo Booth
Ring-light open-air booth with a high-end camera, custom templates, and digital delivery. Smaller footprint than the mirror, faster guest turnaround, and the photo quality holds up at full print size. We use this one for corporate events and proms where the volume of guests is higher and the queue needs to move quickly.
360 Photo Booth
A rotating arm captures a slow-motion video that guests share to social media. It is the most space-hungry of the three — needs about 10x10 feet clear, with overhead clearance. We have run it everywhere from the Roundhouse at Earlyworks (great fit, high ceiling) to backyard weddings in Madison and Decatur. At outdoor venues we check the surface level carefully; the platform needs to be flat.
Which One for Your Event
For most Huntsville weddings under 200 guests, the Mirror is the right call. For proms and corporate parties where turnover matters more than print quality, the Halo. For events where social shares are the goal — birthdays, brand activations, milestone parties — the 360. We bundle photo booth attendants and custom templates into every package.
